Straight answers about cameras, Wi-Fi & UniFi
Plain-English guides from the people who install this gear across Greater Cleveland: real prices, honest trade-offs, no sales pitch.
All guides.
Why we write these
Most of the questions we get before a job are the same few: what a camera system really costs, whether a monthly subscription is worth it, and why the Wi-Fi still drops after buying a new router. These guides answer them the way we would on a site visit, with real equipment prices and the trade-offs spelled out.
We install security cameras, Wi-Fi and networks, door access control and network cabling for homes and businesses across Greater Cleveland, most of it on UniFi. Everything here comes from that work, not from a manufacturer's brochure.
How to use them
- Comparing systems? Start with UniFi vs Ring. It covers monthly fees, recording, privacy and five-year cost.
- Budgeting a project? Read what a UniFi Protect system costs for camera, recorder and switch prices plus three example systems.
- Trying to avoid a monthly fee? See security cameras without a subscription for which brands record without a plan and when wired beats wireless.
- Ready for a number? Every job starts with a free estimate and an itemized quote you approve before work begins.
Prices change, so each guide shows the date it was last updated. If a guide doesn't answer your question, call or text and you'll get a straight answer from the person who would do the work.
